that said...
i have an obsession with the far north. i love the 20+ hours of sunlight in the winter, the cold, the snow, the clean air, the pretty scenery, just about everything. i live in southern new jersey and it's hardly cold here.
place #1: greenland.
greenland is amazing. it has the least population density, and i live in the state with the most. i actually think i'd be bored out of my mind if i live there, but i love it anyway. the whole damn continent only has double the population of my town. it's less than 60,000 people. and yet they have their own language. the houses are also very colorful. oh, and i think the northern most parts are 100 miles or something very close to the north pole. fuck yes.
place #2: iceland
so what if it's bankrupt. you can't argue with bjork.
place #3: norway.
best synthpop. most peaceful country. AND i hear they have a large number of atheists and agnostics.
this shirt makes me giggle.
place #4: sweden.
mostly because of the ice hotels. they are also in canada and alaska, but...i like sweden. for the record, some of these pictures may not be from sweden, but they rebuild this thing differently every year, so it hardly matters. all these places are melted.
this is a suite. the furs gross me out, but i love the sculpture. and the beds are made of ice.
ice bar. even the cups are made of ice.

now for my wedding.
part of the ice hotel, this is an ice church. i always said i didn't want to be married in a church...then i saw this one.
of course, i'll be married by a greenlandic drag queen instead of a priest.
this will be my dress:
and i don't want a corpse bride cake, but i like the colors on this one and where they were going with the design and lace and butterflies. i'd replace the brown stripes with white, though.
